In this project, we focused on the complete reconstruction of an old ropes course in the Priessnitz Spa area. The main goal was to increase the attractiveness and safety of the area, along with expanding its offerings. The client’s wish was also to make appropriate use of existing elements. Through the overall concept of the playground and its original artistic design, we emphasized aspects that encourage visitors’ imagination and their natural desire to play. The Zurčal Playground consists of two parts: a slope area and the ropes course itself.
The active zone on the slope features two stainless steel slides with boarding platforms. Between them, there is a climbing path made up of wooden and stone obstacles. Little adventurers and waiting parents will appreciate a small snake-shaped playhouse, which serves as a thematic connecting element to the adjacent ropes course.
The new ropes course is a true little jungle. Its foundation is the original supporting columns, which we repaired and modified for anchoring. The ropes obstacles made from new materials offer various balancing and coordination challenges. You’ll find obstacles such as boulders, balance beams, long lianas, spiderwebs, snakes, and an acacia log jungle. The main feature of the playground is a snake sculpture that grabs the attention of passersby and invites them to play in this unique spa jungle.
